Forged Studios runs a portfolio site with a contact form. There are no accounts, no advertising, no tracking cookies, and nothing about you is sold or shared for marketing. This page describes exactly what the site collects and where it goes.

What the contact form collects

When you send an inquiry we receive your name, email address, and project details, plus the company, service and budget fields if you choose to fill them in. Name, email and project details are required because without them we can't reply; the rest are optional.

We use it to answer you and to carry out any work that follows. We don't add you to a mailing list off the back of an inquiry.

Where that message goes

The form hands your message to Resend, which delivers it as email, and it arrives in our Google Workspace inbox. Both companies process it on our behalf and under their own privacy terms. Your email address is set as the reply-to address so we can respond directly.

If our mail provider is unreachable, the form falls back to opening your own email client with the message pre-filled — in that case it goes straight from you to us and never touches Resend.

Your IP address

The contact endpoint reads the IP address of the request to limit each sender to five messages every ten minutes, which is what stops the form being used for spam. Those timestamps are held in memory only, expire within ten minutes, and are never written to a database or attached to your message.

Separately, our host Vercel keeps its own short-lived server logs of requests to the site, as any web host does.

Analytics

We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see how many people visit which pages and how quickly those pages load. Neither sets cookies, neither builds a profile of you, and neither follows you to other websites. What we see is aggregate — counts and timings, not individuals.

Because there are no tracking cookies and no personal data in that measurement, there is no consent banner to click through.

What your browser stores

The site saves a small flag in your browser's local storage to remember that you've already seen the opening film, so it doesn't play again every time you arrive. If you add anything to a cart, that too is kept in local storage so it survives a refresh.

Both stay on your device, are never sent to us, and disappear when you clear your browser's site data.

The store

The store is currently closed. Nothing is for sale, no payments are taken and no payment processor is active on this site. When it opens, checkout will be handled by Stripe and card details will be entered on Stripe's systems rather than ours — we'll update this page before that happens.

Embedded video

Films on this site are hosted by Vimeo. Across most of the site a player is only fetched once you click to play it — until then you see a still image and nothing is requested from Vimeo. The reel page is the exception: its player loads with the page.

Every player we embed is requested with Vimeo's do-not-track flag set, which asks Vimeo not to use cookies or track the session. Once a player has loaded, what it does is governed by Vimeo's privacy policy.

How long we keep things

Inquiry emails stay in our inbox as an ordinary business record. Where an inquiry turns into a project, correspondence is kept for as long as we need it for that work and for our own accounting. Anything that goes nowhere is deleted on request, or in the normal course of clearing out the inbox.

Your choices

Write to Production@forgedstu.com and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. There's no account to close and nothing to unsubscribe from — the only thing we hold is the correspondence you started.

Children

This is a studio site aimed at clients and collaborators. It isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Changes

If what the site collects changes, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Questions about any of it: Production@forgedstu.com.
