Overview
Text is a layer with a transform box, not a mark burned into the frame. Click and a transparent box appears right on the plate — you type over the image and see exactly what will be placed, because the editor and the canvas share one set of font metrics.
Because it stays a layer, you can come back at any time to reposition it, resize it, retype it, or change its colour. Text wraps to its box, so widening the box reflows the note.
How to
- Pick T and click where the note goes.
- Type. Enter makes a new line; ⌘/Ctrl+Enter or clicking away finishes.
- Double-click any text later to retype it.
- Switch to Move to reposition or scale it — scaling the box scales the type.
Controls

Known edges
A box you open and leave empty is discarded rather than lingering as an invisible layer. The dashed frame only shows while you are typing or moving it — a placed note sits clean.
