Forged Review, and how to read this manual

A review platform built around one idea: everything anyone uploads is a daily, and every daily is reviewable the same way.

Forged Review is a studio review and production tracker. It runs in the browser, is self-hosted on your own domain, and needs no plugins.

The manual is organized the way the product is. Each family below groups the features that work together; each feature page follows the same shape — what it is, how to use it, its controls, and the edges worth knowing before they bite you.

The one rule

Anything anyone puts on the server is a daily: a numbered version with an uploader, a status, notes and drawovers. There is no separate notion of a file that is not under review. That is why a storyboard PDF, a concept frame, a sound stem and an animation blockout all behave the same once they land.

Where to start

  • Reviewing — read *Reviewer*, then *Notes* and *Statuses*.
  • Marking up — read *Drawover canvas*, then *Layers*, *Text* and *Mask tools*.
  • Running a show — read *Projects*, *Tasks* and *Shot sheet*.
  • Delivering to a client — read *Client playlists*.
