Overview
There is no separate concept of a 'file' and a 'daily' — anything anyone puts on the server is a version, with a number, an uploader, a status and a place in the review history.
The uploader accepts video, stills, PDFs and audio from the same control and works out what it received. A new daily puts its task back to Pending Review.
How to
- Press the upload button on a task, shot, asset or sequence.
- Drop the file in.
- Add a description of what changed, and a link to the source/project file if you have one.
- Upload — the server normalizes it and makes the thumbnail.

Known edges
PDF dailies belong to previz uploads, not shot dailies. A shot's first video daily automatically becomes its timeline cut; stills, PDFs and audio never take that slot.
