BS_LightWrap

Morev1coreNeeds full inputForge

Overview

The background's light bleeding around the keyed foreground's edge - the node every keying tutorial hand-builds from a Blur, an edge band and a Merge. Wire the keyed FG into in, the BG into bg, place it before the final merge over.

How to

How-to

  1. Wire the keyed foreground into in and the background into bg, just before the final Merge over.
  2. diffuse is how far the background's light bleeds in from the edge; bg_blur softens what bleeds.
  3. Set intensity by eye; wrap_only shows just the wrap to judge it.

Inputs

InputWhat it takes
inthe image this node works on
bga clean background to reveal (optional — without one the node estimates it and says so)
masklimits the effect to this matte — the engine's universal mask slot, applied for every node that declares it

Parameters

ParameterTypeDefaultWhat it does
channelsChoicergbaWhich channels this node writes: rgba, rgb (alpha passes through untouched), alpha only, all, or none (bypass). Everything unselected comes straight from the input — same as Nuke. allrgbargbalphanone
diffuseFloat20.0How far the wrap reaches inside the silhouette, in pixels.
bg_blurFloat30.0How soft the borrowed background light is, in pixels - bigger reads as ambience, smaller as a rim.
intensityFloat1.0How much of the background's light arrives.
operationChoicescreenscreen glows filmically and can never blow out (HDR-guarded above 1.0); plus is honest scene-linear addition. screenplus
wrap_onlyBoolfalseShow just the wrap with its edge band in the alpha - check the reach before committing.
disabledBoolfalseBypass: the node passes its first input through untouched (D in the graph). The knobs keep their values for when it comes back.
labelTextA note shown under the node in the graph — what this node is FOR. Never affects the render or the cache.
hide_inputBoolfalseDraw the node without its input wire — a tidy graph for a node whose source is obvious (a Dot, a viewer tap).
