CloudMesh3D

3Dv1app

Overview

Meshes a solved point cloud into a proxy: triangulates through the solve camera's view (Nuke's PointCloudGenerator meshing), keeps the cloud's plate colors as vertex color. One click after a solve gives a ground/set mesh for shadows, projections and layout.

How to

How-to

  1. After a camera solve, wire the solved point cloud into cloud and name the solve camera in camera.
  2. The cloud is triangulated through the camera's view, keeping the plate colours as vertex colour.
  3. max_edge and depth_ratio stop triangles bridging gaps between surfaces; use the mesh for shadows, projections and layout.

Parameters

ParameterTypeDefaultWhat it does
txFloat0.0Translate X — position along the world X axis, metres.
tyFloat0.0Translate Y — position along the world Y axis (up), metres.
tzFloat0.0Translate Z — position along the world Z axis, metres. The camera looks down −Z.
rxFloat0.0Rotate around X, degrees.
ryFloat0.0Rotate around Y (turntable), degrees.
rzFloat0.0Rotate around Z (roll), degrees.
sxFloat1.0Scale along X. 1 = unchanged.
syFloat1.0Scale along Y.
szFloat1.0Scale along Z.
cloudTextThe PointCloud3D node to mesh. Empty = the first tracker cloud in the scene.
cameraTextThe Camera3D to triangulate through - use the solve camera. Empty = the scene's default camera.
max_edgeFloat0.2Longest triangle edge kept, as a fraction of the image width seen through the camera. Bigger fills larger gaps; 0 turns the filter off.
depth_ratioFloat1.6Triangles spanning more than this near-to-far depth ratio are dropped - they bridge a real depth break (a set edge against the sky). 1 or less turns the filter off.
displayChoiceinheritHow the viewport draws this mesh: inherit the scene's mode, or shaded, wireframe, points, bounds. inheritshadedwireframeshaded_wirepointsbboxhidden
disabledBoolfalseBypass: the node passes its first input through untouched (D in the graph). The knobs keep their values for when it comes back.
labelTextA note shown under the node in the graph — what this node is FOR. Never affects the render or the cache.
hide_inputBoolfalseDraw the node without its input wire — a tidy graph for a node whose source is obvious (a Dot, a viewer tap).
